What Does My CT Scan Suggest?

Question: A CT scan showed increase in size of modular density from 8X8X9 to 10X9X13with denser appearance w/ associated spiculations in anterior left upper lobe with vague density in lower left lobe. Changes over 2 yr. period. Summary says nodule in upper left is suspicious for neoplasm. Had right lung removed 20 yrs. ago.

CT scan findings indicate malignant features.However it should be confirmed by further investigations.
CT guided biopsy can be done after evaluation.
Malignant features are indicated by increase in size of nodule and spiculated margins of nodule in anterior left upper lobe.
Status of lymph node in not mentioned in report.It can be assumed normal.

Vague density in left lower lobe need further evaluation.PET scan can be done after evaluation.

Treatment depend upon confirmation of nature of lesion and staging if it is malignant.
