default
Posted on Thu, 2 Feb 2017
Question: I was told that I have LUNG NODULE IN THE LOWER RIGHT LOBE OF MY LUNG. Is this particularly dangerous? I just had a follow up Ct scan to allow a better look at the nodule. It was discovered on a precious scan checking my aneurism. Please give my your opinion. YYYY@YYYY

Brief Answer:
It might be serious.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Thank you for the query.

If you smoke and the nodule has been seen on the x-ray, lung cancer can be the reason. Especially if it is larger than 1 cm.
If you could have tuberculosis before, tgat can be another possibility.
CT should give some answer about the tumor nature, however biopsy might be also necessary.

Hope yhis helps.
Regards.
