Brief Answer:
Blood pressure varies in various circumstances

Detailed Answer:
Greetings and welcome to HCM. I understand your concer. Thank you for your question.

One thing that should be known about blood pressure is that it is one of the mos variable parameters of the human organism. Various physiological states may elevate it. These circumstances include vigorous physical activity, situations associated with high level of psychological stress, also a lot of hormones that are secreted normally in the circulation, coffee and other caffeine-containing beverages, may all elevate the blood pressure. On the other hand, heat causes dilation of the blood pressure, hence the slight drop in the blood pressure. Now, the standardized normal blood pressure figures are 100-139/60-89 mmHg. Due to the above mentioned factors, I would recommend you to check your blood pressure six times a day, 15 minutes after you have been in resting state, or you can be put on a 24-hour blood pressure monitor, to evaluate to how your blood pressure "behaves" throughout a day. I would not recommend any medical treatment for your blood pressure, at this moment.

I also carefully read your diet, and I think it is good. My opinion is that you can eat eggs twice a week, nothing to be worried about. If the cholesterol is still high after three months, then it is indicated to put you on a statin (cholesterol-lowering drug), adding the factor that you are a 45-year old male, as a mean for primary prevention of coronary artery disease. It is also recommended to perform physical activity for 60 minutes daily.

I hope you find my answer helpful. I am happy to help, if you have follow-up questions.

Best regards,
Dr. Meriton
