Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
With your description there is very high possibility if Neurocysticercosis.
But I need to know following:
1. Have you been given a course of Albandazole?
2. Did you have any seizure after that ?
3. Any fever or weight loss?
4. If possible attach both CT head reports.

Revert with these details for a better help.

Brief Answer:
Continue with the same.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Repeat CT revealed only calcified focus. This means it is not tuberculoma.
It was neurocysticercosis. Good news is that it has now calcified.
The course of treatment now would be anti epileptic drugs for 2 years followed by gradual withdrawal and trial. If you don't get any seizure after the withdrawal you can go ahead without the medications but if you get any seizure after withdrawal of medicines you might have to continue with them for life.
Now about your question of taking Epilive in divided doses. See as such you can take them but only problem why we suggest night time dose only is because people get drowsiness on taking them in day and this may cause you problems in day to day activities
Your headache would disappear in a few days time. XXXXXXX this is my honest opinion for you. If you have any further query feel free to ask.
Stay Healthy.

Dear XXXXXXX
See this headache is temporary. It would go with time. But in case it is troubling you lot then you can take the medicine in two divided doses.
However it is an extended release tablet so action is maintained gradually for long.
If you have taken this medicine earlier or is this the first time you are prescribed this?
If for the first time you have been given this you should report your doctor about such headache. So that consideration for a chance can be given.
If you have any further query please ask me.
Stay Healthy.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend,
Unfortunately this tablet comes in big size. But you can try Levipil XR 1000 (Sun Pharma). I prescribe this and none of my patients have complaint of the big size!!
Another alternate is to visit medical store and ask for Extended Release Levetiracetam 1000 mg. You can see if any tablet size suits you.
If you have any further query please ask me. Else you may close the discussion and rate it.
Stay Healthy.
