What Does A Rubbery Texture Blood Clot During Periods Indicate?

default
Posted on Thu, 28 May 2015
Question: i began cramping a week before period, then 4 days before, I started bleeding from lightly to burning with small clots then that night I felt something came out when I stood up. I moved then it was a huge dark rubbery texture blood clot. I had a miscarriage 2 months ago but never seen anything like this be passed. After I passed it my cramping immediately stopped but I felt nauseous and sweaty couple hours after. I had a feeling I may have been pregnant and it was a miscarriage Bc I've never passed something like this texture n size during a period, but I did a test the next morning and it came out negative. What could've this been?

Brief Answer:
It can be shed of endometrial tissue.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

Thanks for trusting us about your health care.
I can understand your concern here.
The chances of pregnancy XXXXXXX misscarriage are less in your case as your pregnancy test is negative.
The chances of retained products are also not there because after misscarriage there was no bleeding.
It can be endometrial tissue which is thickened.
It can be part of endometrial tissue from previous misscarriage.
As you are not having any problem right now, there is no need to worry about it.
Hopefully you found it useful, feel free to discuss more questions.
Good luck.

Could this be the reason I haven't gotten pregnant since my miscarriage in feb bc this had to be passed ? I feel so much relief since last night and also my swelling in my stomach seems to went down. (I don't know if that is relevant)

Brief Answer:
Maybe it could be the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

Yes,maybe you are not getting pregnant due to small pieces of tissue present in the uterus.
It may interfere with implantation.
Hope it is useful.
