Brief Answer:
Only option is to continue chemotherapy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Sorry for replying late.

Only option is to continue chemotherapy and it is the best appropriate treatment.
We should accept that it is fourth stage and not much options are left.
Surgical resection of larger liver lesions can be done if needed.
Since CEA is decreasing,we should expect good results.

Brief Answer:
I suggest for repeat CEA estimation as reports are conflicting.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Good treatment response is indicated by decrease of both CEA and tumour size.
We expect simultaneous decrease in both factors.Increase in size of tumour but decrease in CEA value is conflicting.I suggest for repeat CEA estimation.
Presently you should continue chemotherapy. It is the best appropriate treatment.

Get well soon.

Answered by Dr. Indu Kumar (19 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Increase in tumour size may indicate disease progression.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

As it is confirmed that CEA level is decreased but there is increase in tumour size,it may indicate disease progression.Increase in tumour size is considered as more important prognostic factor.
