What Do The Following Blood And Urine Analysis Reports Indicate?

default
Posted on Thu, 1 Dec 2016
Question: Hi doctor,

I attached my results from blood and urine analysis, there are some values that are out of range, and it's worrying me. can you tell me if I should be worried and seek help.

Note that I did the analysis out of my own initiative, I had an HIV scare and while getting screened I ordred these tests as well, fortunately results came back negative (HIV 4th generation Ag/ab at 4 weeks post exposure) my Chlamidia and Gonorreah tests also came back negative.
I was not fasting the day I had my blood drawn, and I'm a 23years old male smoker.

please let me know what you think of these results.
Thanks.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
Your blood parameters and urine analysis are very much within normal limits. Slight variations in Lymphocyte count and urine trace ketones and amorphous sediments can occur to any individuals at times in a normal conditions due to various reasons like your diet, mild infection or fasting conditions etc. NOT TO GIVE IMPORTANCE. They will become alright soon with good food and adequate water consummation.
Regarding the tests for HIV, a Nonreactive 4th generation DUO/COMBO HIV test after 4 weeks ruled out HIV 1 infection. By 4 weeks after the exposure, the antigen part of (P24 antigen) of the test is reliable whereas antibody part of the test will be reliable only after window period ( 6-8 weeks, sometimes up to 12 weeks). The prevalence of HIV 2 is very rare (less than 0.5%). So nothing to worry about the same.
