What Do Nausea After Food, Dizziness And Lethargy After Getting Nexplanon Implant Indicate?

Question: For a month now ive been feeling nauseous after eating, my breasts have gone up a size, I feel dizzy and faint and I cant seem to stay up late anymore I get super tired. All normal things maybe, considering I have the nexplanon implant and it hasnt been in my arm for more than 5 months. I took two pregnancy tests, both negative. I got my period this week and its been weird even for what nexplanon has done to them. I dont bleed but I have discharge... Large veiny clots or small pink discharge followed by dark brown discharge. I took another pregnancy test to be sure and nothing so what might be the issue and what kinds of tests should i look into. Can a gynecologist check me if im still bloody down there though? Thank you.

Changes in period pattern are well known side effects of Nexplanon. The change in bleeding pattern that you are noticing is because of Nexplanon. Pregnancy is extremely unlikely as Nexplanon is more than 99% effective. Urine pregnancy tests are quite sensitive. If it is negative that means that you are not pregnant. There is no need to do blood pregnancy test.

Feeling dizzy, nauseated and increase in breast size are again side effects of Nexplanon. So don't worry. Since even anaemia can cause tiredness please check your hemoglobin once. Take multivitamins, fresh fruits, vegetables and protein rich diet. You will be fine.
If you are still bloody down Consult gynecologist for internal examination and get an ultrasound of uterus and ovaries done. That will relieve your stress.
