Four months back took Nexpro and Aciloc.. had some relief from nausea, burping..it started again and took Pantocid...now after that still burping and nausea before and after food is back. Consulted three different GI docs of same hospital.. they don't seem to worried much.. they say I am normal... but i am scared to deaththat I have major illness...after my fear of cancer are ruled out one by one...now finally it's pancreatic cancer... although my ultrasound results are normal I am still worried as my symptoms are not cured...everyday seems to be a hell on earth..is ultrasound results are sufficient to tell I don't have pancreatic cancer? I am attaching the image of my scan result.

Brief Answer:
It does not appear to be cancer at all

Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist.

I have gone through the scan you have uploaded.

It does not appear to be pancreatic cancer at all as:
1. Most important is your age, pancreatic cancer do occur at the age of 5 th to 6 th decade or older
2. Symptoms don't match at all. Symptoms of pancreatic cancer are moderate to severe epigastric pain radiating to back may be associated with vomiting or jaundice, significant weight loss

So keep cool

I will suggest you to:
1. Avoid food that increase gas like beans, pulses, cabbage, peas
2. Avid food that increase acid productions like tea, coffee, citrus and spicy and fatty food
3. See if milk make your symptoms worse then please avoid it
4. Take capsule containing simethicone thrice a day
5. continue with proton pump inhibitor like neksium along with a prokinetic agent like domepridone

I hope I have answered your query and this will help you . Wish you a good health

Thank you very much doctor.. we have interacted before too..in fact it's you who first suggested me to have endoscopy...Ofcourse I have weight loss too...lost around 8 kgs in 5 months...I mentioned this to doctors..they said it's due to my strict diet for gastritis and high anxiety..I have been even referred to psychiatrist..but i didn't go..I can't believe that my problems are due to IBS and stress....I have had in past so many problems but never I had loose motion or other ailments...but after getting to know my colonoscopy results are normal my fear reduced and loose motion also reduced...once in a while I have a solid stool followed by a loose stool in the end in single or XXXXXXX 2 times a day...but one thing what I observed is its my dinner food that's often ending up as loose stool..I do not have any pain in stomach or I don't have also heartburn or food coming back to mouth while burping.....it's simply a plain burping...nausea while hungry and after eating...and one more info is h.pylori is negative....since it was just a Mild Antral and Corporal gastritis and no h.pylori I thought I will be ok in few days...but it's going on for past five months...I modified my food habits as advised...no coffee or tea...I am a non smoker and non alcoholic....that's my worry....can a mild gastritis go on like this for months..? And people around created a panic saying even CT scan can't detect pancreatic cancer how can an ultrasound....it's a cruel cancer which doesn't give a chance of cure....kindly clarify doctor!please..

Brief Answer:
Yes mild gastritis can cause symptoms for long time

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back

Yes, mild gastritis can cause these symptoms for a long period of time. Its not simply the gastritis which is culprit, its also the amount of acid being produced, it also about motility pattern of stomach and intestine which may be altered, it may be due to dietary habits however you have control on your diet. So there are may factors which may lead to persistence of these symptoms.

However I will say It is not a cancer. So keep cool. Do daily exercise and take healthy diet and wish you a good luck and health

Thank you very much doctor! Definitely it's relieving for me... I am planning to meet my gastro doctor after two weeks. I will talk about the medications you mentioned and get it in a prescription... It's definitely heartbreaking to read about the stories of people who are misdiagnosed many times as IBS, Gerd and finally being told its pancreatic cancer..that led to lot ofpanic....is it because they were diagnosed without doing tests? Just out of curiosity I want to know this..
