Brief Answer:

A number of causes

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

But elevated white blood cells in urine can be due to a number of causes including urinary tract infection that should be accompanied with frequency, urgency and burning sensation while urinating.

Another cause is cystitis which is inflammation of the urinary bladder and should be accompanied by frequency and pelvic pain.

Renal disorders can be also a cause and include pyelonephritis which is an infection of the kidney and should be accompanied by fever and pelvic pain or could also be due to renal stones.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
