Question: I have a cold with much nasal congestion and coughing. Now my right eye has developed a yellow discharge. Is this just a part of the cold?

You may be developing pink eye in your right eye from the same cold virus.

As it is most likely due to a virus, you can try to treat it without antibiotics. Apply very warm wet compresses to the closed eye a few times a day and this will help keep the infection at bay.
