Brief Answer:
common-stop smoking.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having discomfort in throat.

Restarting smoking after a prolonged period, causes congestion of oral mucosa and constrictions of vessels, which leads to burning sensation, distaste and tiny mucosal ulcers seen over tongue, inner side of cheek and pharynx.

It is quite common after kick starting the smoking. Symptoms totally depends on the number of cigarettes smoked and co-existent factors like alcoholism and stress.

I suggest you to follow the measures, to overcome your throat discomfort.
stop smoking, take plenty of fluids and fruit juices. In case of persistence, needs multivitamins and antibiotics.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
