Brief Answer:
Likely to be due to inadequate burping

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Namasthe
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear XXXX

Ultrasound abdomen is done in case of vomiting in babies to rule out Infantile hyertrophic pyloric stenosis(IHPS). As Ultrasound has ruled it out, It is very much reassuring.
If the Ultrasound has ruled out IHPS, there is no distension of stomach or intestine then there is no cause for concern.
Inadequate burping and inadequate milk and associated gastritis may be the cause of problem. I would require additional information for me to be able to assist you further

1. Is burping been done ? How long ?
2. Des your daughter sleep well after feeds?
3. Is there diaper rash or redness around anal opening?
4. How often is the vomiting? is it after every feeds? Does she vomit small volume of feeds she has consumed or significant quantity?
5. What is the exact Ultrasound report?
6. Was Plain X Ray of abdomen also done?

Medications given by your Physician are perfectly fine.

Do get back to me with the details.

Take Care

I do not know what IHPS means in lay man's term, however Doctor said the sonography suggests a spasm.

Replies to your query:
1) Burping is done every time she is fed she vomits with the burp.
2) No, she get up every hour crying asking for more milk.
3) No diaper rash.
4) She vomits after every feed. Her intake of feed has reduced from 90ml to 60ml. Earlier she used to throw-up half of consumed milk, now about 10-15ml. She is fed on breast milk and top fed on Abott Similac Advance 1.
5) No x-ray was done.

Best regards,

Brief Answer:
Vomiting could be due to feed intolerance

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Greetings

Baby till age of 6 months needs to be exclusively breast feed .
Allergy to top feed could also be cause for vomiting. I would suggest you to stop the top feeds(Similac0 , there will definitely be improvement in the symptoms. As the quantity f vomiting has been reduced( Lanzol is proton pump inhibitor which suppresses gastric acid), the cause is much likely to be feed intolerance.

Baby does not need any external feed till 6 months. Mother's milk is nectar.

Do keep me updated

Regards
Dr Deepak
