What Causes Visual And Auditory Hallutionations?

Question: I have been having visual and auditory hallutionations for about 6 months. I have had an MRI showing now abnomalties. What could be checked further. All visual happen when I am relaxed. They are momentary.
Most are visuals of people I know. The auditory are on awaking, and involve voices.
