What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Taking Progesterone?

Question: Hi... This is our 3rd month of trying to conceive. I visited gynic this month amd she had my internal scan done to check of i am releasing eggs naturally. I had rupturd on 14th day and she askedto have intercourse immediatrly. We had it and she asked me to have progesterone tablets for 14 days . After a week of ovulation i spotted a couple of drops which looked like a small layer of blood slightly dried and thick creamy white mucus and there were cramps during my 3rd week in right side. I had ovulated from right ovaries as per scan. No DF on left side. How soon can i take test ?? Is spotting due to tablets i am taking or i have conceived .
