What Causes Vaginal Bleeding During Ovulation Some Days After Hysterosalpingography?

default
Posted on Tue, 29 Sep 2015
Question: I had an hsg done on day 8 and everything was clear (thank god!) then I got a positive ovulation test on day 9 (super early for me). Then on day 15 I started bleeding. It was lighter than my period but still pretty red....lasted for about 3.5 days and turned dark brown at the end. My cycles are always between 27-31 days so a 15 day cycle is unheard of in my life. Could this be implantation even though it was reddish, a bit heavier than spotting, and lasted a few days? I am soooo confused and need your help!

Brief Answer:
Can be implantation bleeding

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Yes, it can be imptlantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding is known to last for few days in some women.
I will suggest you to wait for your periods, if delayed, then do get a urine pregnancy test to confirm the diagnosis.
If the periods are not delayed or if pregnancy test is negative, then you should get yourself checked by an OBGYN specialist to look for local lesions in cervix or vagina and do hormonal tests to rule out other causes of intermenstrual bleeding.
Wishing you all the best.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
