Question: I had on and off abdominal pain after my last sexual contact, unprotected, two years ago.. It was just on the lower left part before, now i can feel it on the left upper abdominal area too.. And also i started to have terribke pimples on my face with the onset of the abdominal pain.. Does it suggest an untreated std?

Brief Answer:
No its not STD

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome again to HealthcareMaguc.

Pain in upper left abdomen can be due to gastritis. And the one in the lower abdomen can be due to urinary tract infection (UTI) or pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).

And STDs do not cause acne.

I would suggest the you take a course of antibiotics. It will take care of both, your acne and your UTI or PID. Take a broad spectrum one like third generation cephalosporin to cover for boath. But for the prescription, you need to see your local doctor.

Also you need to take a ppi tablet like pantaprazole or omeprazole for your gastritis.

And avoid tea, coffee, soda drinks and spicy foods as they will increase your gastritis.

Hope i have been helpful.
