Question: After having a migraine all day yesterday, I woke this morning still with a migraine, but with tingling in my hands and my cheeks. This has never happened before and I have an extended history of migraines. Is this something I should be concerned about or that could even be related?

Brief Answer:
Could be related to Topamax.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms and would like to reassure you that these symptoms do not suggest any serious illness.

Tingling is a common side effect of topamax (topiramate) and usually resolves in a few days on own. Sometimes, we need to lower the dose of topamax.

However, if symptoms persist even after 24 hours, then, further evaluation may be needed.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
