default
Posted on Wed, 10 Dec 2014
Question: Hi,

I am having a light tingling on my left feet since past 45 mins. No other symptoms persists. This is the 1st time it happened. Its not painful but just tad uncomfortable. I am worried as I googled and pretty serious stuff came up. What can go wrong?

I recently had and EKG done which was perfect. BP is 120/80. CT scan results of my head were clear.

Brief Answer:
needs urgent MRI study. and neuro consult

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.I think I may be able to help you.

The symptoms of tingling and numbness of feet are definitely a neurological disease. Ideally I would suggest you visit a hospital immediately and request for an MRI brain with screening of the entire spine.

The test needs to be done as soon as possible because the worst possible diagnosis are the ones that needed to be treated as soon as possible.

In addition NCV of the lower limbs would be a good idea as well.

Please take this seriously especially If you Have Even THE mildest weakness in the limbs, or the tingling numbness extends to the upper limb as well.

Best of luck
Dr Mittal.
