Posted on Thu, 3 Jan 2019
Question: Hi, I started to have a persistent fever of 99.5 to 99.8. I also had slight burning sensation while passing urine and my urine seems to be slightly cloudy. I thought it was UTI. Urine analyses says I have 20 RBC but culture is negative. also I have lost 4 kgs weight in 1.5 months, but I do walking as well. My CBC says I have high Eosinophils ,high MPV and also my serum globulin is 3.8

I have slight leg pain and skin itching on my legs. Along with this I have constant gurgling near my liver area as if ripples of gas comes to my right ribs. Otherwise I am able to eat well and do my daily work, except for some tiredness. Am I having anything serious. I have been given iron, calcium and magnesium tablets and asked to re-evaluate haemoglobin and Eosinophils after a month.

Brief Answer:
Stool exam plus ultrasound abdomen.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have read your reports.

First thing is that take your thyroid tablet empty stomach.

Do not take calcium and iron at the same time of day.

Avoid milk or tea within 2 hours of iron preparation.

As there are RBC in urine I will suggest ultrasound abdomen to rule out any stone or kidney problem.

As there are gurgling near the liver area I will suggest stool examination to rule out parasite infestation.

As there is itching take any antihistamine as tab levocetirizine.

I hope your BP is normal.

Fever below 100 degrees F is not so worrisome.
