Question: Ive had a bakers cyst removed arthroscopic and 3 months later return and cut out very large. What are the chances of another returning with throbbing behind the knee and swelling

The swelling in the knee after the removal of baker's cyst is less likely to be due to recurrence of the cyst. It is more likely to be related to a joint inflammation like synovitis or arthritis. A CT scan of the affected joint will help in proper diagnosis.
To decrease the throbbing give adequate rest to the knee joint. Do not indulge in activities like climbing stairs or squatting. Do a hot fomentation and take a mild pain killer for relief.
A direct examination will help in proper diagnosis.
