Brief Answer:
Variety of things

Detailed Answer:
Good evening. There are a number of things that could cause leg jerking during the day (meaning when you're not sleeping?). One is RESTLESS LEGS SYNDROME....if daytime is when you are used to going to bed. I do see that someone has you on pramipexole which means they are thinking in terms of RLS...but I don't know if those symptoms are coming on in the evening or not. Other things that I would check my patients out for if they had this complaint would be medication induced types of side effects. Especially if you are taking anything for either psychiatric or psychological conditions such as depression, anxiety, etc. Those types of medications can cause a condition known as AKASTHISIA which is a form of unwanted and often uncontrollable leg movements though typically it is found in both legs.

Other things that can cause jumping legs during the day are partial seizures or depending upon your mental status at the time, COMPLEX PARTIAL STATUS. Also, if someone were being dialyzed and either did not get their blood cleaned out enough or had too much fluid or water pulled off too quickly legs could jump....and so could arms.

I believe you should check either with your primary doctor for direction or if possible find a neurologist in your area and make an appointment.

I hope this addresses your concerns. If so, may I ask for the favor of a HIGH STAR RATING on our interaction and some brief written feedback.
