What Causes Sudden Dizziness And Facial Numbness?

default
Posted on Mon, 9 Nov 2015
Question: My left side of my head is numb - from the top of my head to my chin. Also, experiencing dizzy spells, that feels like my brain is pulsating. I have had 1 ct scan, 2 mri's, and a full body virtual scan. There is no pain involved, but hard to stay focus. The episodes last for about an hour then dissipate.

Brief Answer:
Possible BPPV

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

I can understand your concern.

The possibility of BPPV (benign positional and paroxysmal vertigo) is high in your case.

In the presence of normal findings on CT, MRI and other studies, organic brain lesions can be comfortably ruled out.

This condition can be treated with drugs Betahistine and Exercise like Epley's maneuver will offer prompt relief.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
