default
Posted on Mon, 4 Jul 2016
Question: I have sudden onset bilateral pain in my breasts. It feels like a tingling sensation. I drink several cups of tea a day and work out. Last year, my mammogram, sonogram and breast exam were normal, except that I have dense breasts.

Brief Answer:
It does not seem to be breasts related issue.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Such pain does not seem to be related with any breasts issues. Much more probable is some kind of acid reflux (if the pain appeared after some foods intake) or rib nerve irritation.
Rib nerve pain is usually sharp, appears suddenly and gets more intense when the chest is moving (when you breathe). Spine nerve compression can be the case.
If the pain was burning like or it radiated to the left arm or jaw, heart ischemic disease can be the reason.

I suggest you to start with diet modification if the pain seems to be an acid reflux. Avoid fatty foods, spicy foods, coffee, alcohol.

For rib nerve treatment, you should consult orthopedist.

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
