Hello!

Welcome back on HCM!

I carefully passed through your question and agree with you on the fact that your symptoms are related to indigestion or gastroesophageal reflux.

The palpitations seem to be related to anxiety, probably related to smoking withdrawal syndrome.

In my opinion there is no need to perform any additional tests or consult with your GP.

I don't think your symptoms are related to any cardiac disorder.

I would just recommend taking Zantac or omeprazole during these days.

I would also advice avoid spicy food and large meals in the next days.

Hope to have been helpful!

Let me know about everything!

Kind regards,

Hello
Thank you for your response
So the stomach issue is possible something I str yesterday that is not sitting well as I get neasea on and off
The fast heart rate could or is most likely anxiety with perhaps the fact that I have given up smoking ? How long will this last as it has already been 38 days?
But over all no concern of it being a cardiac issue and I can continue my regular activities work out

Hello again!

Yes, I think that it may be just indigestion couple with anxiety.

Mood changes and anxiety can last for months after stopping smoking.

So. there is nothing to worry about!

Yoga can be really helpful in this situation.

While for indigestion, it is important to take an antiacid or omeprazole and avoid spicy food.

Everything will be OK in a couple of days.

You can continue your daily physical activity as always.

I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need!

Wishing good health,

Dr.Iliri
