I am taking antibiotics since last 4 months. I am working from home and since March on sick leaves as my infection doesnt allow me to work and also there is no project as such available to work on.

I am always a negative thinker and currently my condition is very bad, My BP is fluctuating since I am taking XXXXXXX Sometime, its low and some time it goes to higher side not much but reach to 130/90. I used to take BP medicines since last 10 years. I have started a 2-3 hours daily walk and also taking very controlled diet.
I used to take cloze 0.25 medicine for my anxiety once a day but i have stopped this medicines since last August last year as my pulse is on a lower side and BP is keep fluctuating.

Currently i feel that my anxiety is causing me lot stress as nothing good happenning since I arrived in XXXXXXX due to my health and I keep going to emergency to check my BP and do the ECG which comes normally. you can say i am more anxious about my health and too much negativity around me.

Please advise what should I do, i tried doing mediation but never succeed. I try to watch movies and reading some books but never helped.

Please advise me what should I do and do any medicine can help me to reduce stress or anxiety without impacting my BP and pulse.

BP medicines which I usually take is Telpress CT 40/12.5

For my prostate infection, i am taking Niftas 100 mg, Cranprac D and alfoo.

Please review my condition and ask questions if you need to conclude my current condition. Thanks so much for your help and time.

Brief Answer:
There are multiple useful options

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

First of all I like to assure you that stress and anxiety is largely treatable condition and there are multiple options available in the market on current day.

I am glad to know that you are taking multiple measures such as regular walk, diet control which prove definitely helpful not only for blood pressure but for anxiety and stress.

However when we cross the threshold of anxiety and stress sometime the behavioral measures become insufficient and we need more assistance from medications. Considering your condition as a middle aged men with ongoing medical issues I feel Escitalopram 10 mg will be a better choice. The second good option for you is fluoxetine 20 mg. In case we need I can chart 15 medications which can help you in anxiety and stress without affecting your blood pressure negatively. However I am limiting myself for two options as they have best available evidence and odds of helping are high.

In addition to medications having a optimistic attitude is important. I understand that in last 8 months you have suffered tremendously but it never mean that it was the end of road. As the saying goes "every dark road have the light at end" should be applicable for us.

I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.

Thank you Sir. do you really think that i need to take a antidepressant?

I am currently taking cloze 0.25 mg, is this not sufficient? Or would this effect my bp or bpm?

Brief Answer:
Yes I think so

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for follow up.

I am of the opinion that if simple measures do not help adequately we need to take intensive measures and antidepressant is one among them.

Cloze 0.25 mg is temporary anti anxiety medication and no not help in anxiety on long term basis. It is good option for short term but we need to consider long term options.

If the anxiety is not treated well definitely it will affect your other systems which includes your blood pressure.

I hope this answers you further.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
