What Causes Stabbing Pain In Temple Area Along With Painful Neck?
Question: 37 female take Adderall 20mg about four a day for adhd witch I'm not I also take advil 200mg daily about four to six a day mostly four and have been for a year and I'm a heavy smoker like pack a day when on Adderall . I'm having stabbing pain in my left temple off and on today I have neck problems anyways but it hurts when I bite down some . and I am scared it could be a annerizum

The symptoms you have described require you to urgently go to an E.R or a stroke unit. CVA must be ruled out first. You need to get your B.P checked and if on physical exam there is a
compelling indication like a focal neurologic deficit or worsening headache or altered mental state, then a CT or MRI may be done accordingly.
The advil dose is very frequent and is not recommended esp in vascular disorders.
Aneurysm workup can be done starting with CT to look for any subarachnoid hemorrhage , a subsequent arteriogram to look for an aneurysm . Clipping is the surgical therapy if an aneurysm is found.
