Question: Hi
I have had a persistent sore throat for a couple of weeks although it doesn't look sore??

Brief Answer:
throat congestion.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for your query.
Analysing your symptoms, I feel probably you have a congestion in throat.
The red veins in throat are normal. They become prominent on congestion.
Congestion in throat can be because of many reason, in my expereince commonest cause is infection. Second being allergy and gastritis.
I needmore information to comment on your query;
1. Do you have difficulty in swallowing, pain while swallowing?
2. What does sore throat mean, does it mean you have throat pain, or throat irritation or burning in throat.
