What Causes Severe Runny Nose?

Question: I have copious amounts of mucuous flowing for a few months now..I am more aware of it at night. I have had cat scan of the area with no result.

Thanks for posting your query on HCM.

You have not mentioned where the mucus is flowing from? Is it from the nose or you are bringing it out with cough.

Since you are using nasonex I presume it's from the nose. Do you have any allergy issues your symptoms increase in dust and smoke? Is there any itching and sneezing also associated. Do you have any cough and breathlessness also or do you have sinusitis?

As of now I can only advise that you continue nasonex or fluticasone or metaspray nasal spray on regular basis along with a tablet of montair lc daily. You may go for a complete ENT check to rule out any other problem. Avoid exposure to dust and smoke and extreme cold temperature.
