Question: Severe redness and puffy both eyes secreting yellow puss. After prescribing antibiotic eye drops and later amoxicillin, after 48 hours no improvement. Doctor's office said that have seen several cases recently among adults, no children.

I have gone through your query and have checked the attached image. Indeed there seems to be an eye infection and treatment with antibiotics is necessary. I understand that there has hardly been any improvement in last 48 hours but you need to continue it. There is associated inflammation and the possibility of a condition called uveitis being associated and so you need to get yourself evaluated by your ophthalmologist. Based on his findings your doctor may administer Corticosteroid eye drops and even Oral corticosteroids. Please do not ignore it as it can be serious.
