What Causes Severe Headaches During Climate Change?

default
Posted on Wed, 28 May 2014
Question: I get severe head aches once in a while. This is there for many years. It is observed more during the climate change or when the sleep gets affected or when I am troubled with flum and congestion. Mostly the pain will be on one side or on the back side of the head or at times is closer to the eyes.
So far it is assumed as Migrane. How do I confirm that it is migrane and if it is migrane, is it related to flum and congestion. What should be the course of action

Brief Answer:
Requires Clarification...

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX

Greetings,

After going through your history I can understand the concern you have regarding the disease condition of yours, my full sympathy is with you.

As per your history, you get severe headaches once in a while for many years, mostly observed when there is climate change or disturbed sleep.Pain is mostly on one side or back side of head.
You assume it to be a migraine.

To reach the diagnosis I require some clarification like:-

1. Are you allergic to any thing like dust, fumes, air condition,..etc?
2. Is your headache associated with vomiting?
3. Is the headache associated with cold, flum, congestion, running nose, etc?
4. Do you experience pain around your eye ball?
5. When is the pain worse morning or evening?
6. How does the pain subside once you get it like medicine, some local application, vapor inhalation etc?
7. Have you done any investigation like X-Ray, CT SCAN, MRI,absolute eosinophil count, etc?
8. Once pain comes how long does it lasts?

Understanding the gravity of situation please update me with the following above mentioned information so that I can reach a diagnosis followed by Remedy/Treatment.

Expecting to get the answer from you as soon as possible,

Brief Answer:
Points more towards migraine

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX
Welcome back,

Good to see your prompt response too. After the clarification details, it is still unclear. However the features pointing more towards migraine.

Any way next time when ever you get the cold, cough, running nose, headache please get a X-Ray PNS done and show it to any doctor near to your home, he will tell you whether you are having sinusitis or not after seeing the X-Ray PNS (para nasal sinus).

As per your question to differentiate between sinusitis and migraine, there are some symptoms like throbbing headache with vomiting, headache lasting for 1-2 hours, may be one side or both side headache, excruciating pain, etc.

Hence I advice you to visit a near by doctor when ever you get the headache or cold, cough stuffy nose, etc, to get the diagnosis confirmed, followed by Remedy/Treatment.

Migraine can be prevented if proper care is taken, so do not worry.

Hope all these information has clarified your doubt, if further any please do not hesitate to write me back.

Wishing you a good health,

Regards,

Thanks.
