Question: What treatments are available to treat severe depression if medications haven't worked?

The available treatment options for resistant depression include augmentation of antidepressant medication with other medications such as antipsychotics, lithium, thyoxine among others.

In case the above strategy do not work r TMS is next course of action.

Even if the rTMS do not help ECT can be considered which is of the most effective treatment available for depression.
