Brief Answer:
Possible GERD,please follow up with gastroenterologist...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concern.

Coughing for almost one year and mainly when you're lying down at night are suggestive of possible stomach problems like GERD especially if you are also having heartburn or burning sensation in your chest too.

I advise to consult with gastroenterologist and ask for upper endoscopy in order to determine the right diagnosis.

A good ENT examination is also recommended to rule out ENT problems.

For the moment, I advise to:
- have your dinner at least 4 hours before bedtime
- avoid spicy/oily/chilly/fried foods
- take antacids after meal especially after dinner

Hope this helps.
