Brief Answer:
Can be renal or a muscular problem.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain in the back like you have described can be due to-
Nerve root syndromes - produce symptoms of nerve impingement (a nerve is directly irritated): Herniated discs, Spondylosis and Spinal disc degeneration

Musculoskeletal pain syndromes -myofascial pain syndromes and fibromyalgia. It can be due to poor postural habits also.

• Infections of the bones: Bacterial and spinal Tuberculosis

• Noninfectious inflammation of the spine (spondylitis) can cause stiffness and pain near the spine that is particularly worse in the morning

• Renal stone
All this needs proper investigations to find out the cause. You can consult your physician for physical examination and proper investigations.
In the meanwhile, adequate rest, hot compresses, good analgesic medications and avoiding strenuous exercises will benefit you.

I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
