default
Posted on Thu, 17 Mar 2016
Question: It hurts when I pee and there is also blood. It doesn't burn when I pee, it just hurts and it hurts throughout the day too. I peed twice this morning and there was blood but when I peed a little while ago there was no blood. My question is: what is wrong with me?

Brief Answer:
Go to ER/increase water intake/take cranberry/uva-ursi/fern ston supplement

Detailed Answer:
Hi Reva1990,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

Your symptoms of feeling hurt when pee associated with intermittent (on-and-off) blood are indicating urinary tract infection (UTI). An immediate urine analysis and culture is advised to run together with abdominal ultrasound to rule out kidney stones. If you cannot schedule an immediate appointment with your family doctor, then, should go to ER for immediate evaluation and treatment.

For the moment, until you see your doctor I advise to:
- drink more plain water
- avoid salty/oily foods
- take cranberry/fernstone/uva-ursi urinary supplements with plenty of water

Wish fast recovery!
