What Causes Recurrent Fever In Children?

default
Posted on Mon, 31 Aug 2015
Question: My grandchildren ages 2,4 &6, have ran periodic fevers around 103 for 1-2 days with no other symptom than being tired during the fever. For 5-6 days they will be perfectly fine - then the fever again. Typically only one child has a fever at a time. This has been occuring for the past 4 weeks. What could be causing the repeated fevers?

Brief Answer:
The cause could be viral or enteric.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health Care Magic.

The cause of the fever could be viral or it could be enteric fever. I would suggest you to get the blood tested for routine counts as well as Widal test if any of the children has a fever. The tests will help in detecting the cause of the fevers. You can upload the reports thereafter and I will surely help you further.
