default
Posted on Mon, 20 Apr 2015
Question: I'm taking doxycycline hyclate for Ureaplasma. I'm feeling pressure in my head everytime I take it. Abit of dizziness and it's hard to swallow my spit too. Is this okay for a 19 year old boy, 150 pounds 6 feet 2 inches? 100 mg capsules twice daily

Brief Answer:
Take this medication instead, and get better the "easy" way.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXX;

I am Dr. Neel Kudchadkar and I will help you now.
I appreciate very much your indepth interest in getting rid of this infection.

I will directly and politely ask you to stop Doxycycline. This medicine has side effects that are rather not agreeable you. Why don't you take Azithromycin instead? Nowadays, that is the best alternative. You have to take a 5 day course and you're cured.

This sounds good. Especially considering that the other alternative is an injection of a different sort of medication, and that is rather disagreeable.

Kindly visit a local doctor for confirmation and prescription and get better soon!
