What Causes Premature Graying Of Hair And Dry Patches Of Skin In A Teenage Boy?
Question: Hi i noticed one greay hair on my 17th year old boy. Also i notice patches of dry skin somewhere on hid hands and legs,

It is possible for anyone to have a single or a few hairs that lack pigment. This does not mean that your son will develop prematurely gray hair. Although in some cases for reasons that we do not understand, sometimes patients do develop gray hair at an early age.
The patches of dry skin can be normal or can represent patches of eczema. I would start first with a good moisturing cream like Eucerine or Lubriderm and if that does not resolve the dry patches have him see a dermatologist for further evaluation.
