Posted on Wed, 10 Jun 2015
Question: I was just going to the bathroom,TMI, my upper right rib made a popping out feel and is really sore, hard to walk. Someone popped my back a couple of nights ago and it has been sore since. Could it be that the rib is just popping back in place?

Brief Answer:
Need workup

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and I understand your concern. This popping sensation with history of some trauma (popping back ) and fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue it would be unwise not to rule out rib fracture as the probable cause of this popping sound. Once ruled out musculoskeletal pain would be next possibility.

Treatment is more or less same and is a conservative approach with use of NSAIDS and muscle relaxants and rest. However get tested, get some radiographs done to rule out any serious pathology underneath.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
