What Causes Persistent Visual Aura?

Question: Hi today was the second time i would have had this occurrence. the first time being exactly 2 weeks ago.
I was seeing a shape of a sunflower with sliver outer lining more with my left eye. This episode lasted 12 mins.
The first time it happen i used a plavix 75mg it cleared up within 5mins. Today it cleared up about 8mins after i took the plavix. I took my pressure today when it occur and my pressure was 120/80.
could you advise me please. Thanks

hi thanks for your quick response. Last july 2016 had numbness on left side and slurred speech. When to hospital. A brain CT scan was done and was told to use plavix for 3 weeks. In XXXXXXX 2017 i got the report of the brain CT scan. It stated there was a chronic lunar infarct. Went to a neurologist who did MRI of brain. was told MRI was ok to continue meds which were :
Plendil 10mg
Atenonol 50mg
Bendrofluside 2.5mg
Omeprazole 20mg
Plavix 75mg.
was told to control blood pressure and i should be ok, however did not have the sunflower with with sliver outer edges.I look forward to your respond

Hello,
The previous event and imaging report is suggestive of stroke and requires treatment to be continued.
The new symptoms may be due to embolism in ophthalmic artery territory or posterior circulation.
You need to get ecg, echocardiography, Lipid profile, carotid doppler study.
