Question: i had a done a medical abortion a month ago for 6 week pregnancy. After heavy cramps and passing blood for approximately 2 days, the pain subsided after a week. But now for the past two weeks i am bleeding again soaking 2 pads a day. The blood group of my partner is A- And mine is O+. Please help me with my complication. Thanks

I can understand your concerns,

As you told that you had MTP pills and you are bleeding since 2 weeks.

It suggests that you did not abort completely.

I advise that you should go for ultrasound to confirm complete abortion. If minimal products are there, you should take tablet misoprostol 200mcg twice a day for 3 days (prescription drug). Consult it with your gynecologist.

If products of conception still remains, you should go for dilatation and curettage.
