Viibryd can cause diarrhea, it is one of the reported possible side effects that can occur. It occurs in 28% (28 out of 100 persons) who use the medication, this is almost 1 out 3 persons.
In most persons, the symptoms improve after a week or two of use. The use of probiotics may help along with meds such as pepto bismol.
The other causes of persistent diarrhea are: (1)irritable bowel syndrome
(2)food intolerance or allergy
(3)thyroid disease- high levels of thyroid hormone, a blood test can check for this
(4)diabetes affecting the nerves in the gastrointestinal tract
(5)infection- a stool sample should be sent to the lab
(6)inflammatory bowel disease eg crohns or ulcerative colitis
Your doctor may want to rule out another cause first.
Persistent coughing is most commonly due to one of the following: (1)post nasal drip of mucus- this is the most common cause, some persons are not aware of the drip itself and only present with the cough. Treated with antihistamine/decongestant combination of medication eg zyrtec d, allegra d, claritine d,
may need to use for 2 weeks before having an effect.
(2)GERD- reflux is another common cause
