Last one I had was 21st of March. this time it made my muscles hurt real bad. Still hurts some. Pain has stayed and goes down my arms. Always happens in both arms at the same time.

Myalgia

Detailed Answer:
Good evening

Thank you for writing on health care magic

I have gone through your history and would like to ask a few more details to see where the symptoms fit in:

1. DO you have any associated neck pain which is usually present and disturbs your daily routine

2. Is it only the arms which hurt or the remaining hands and forearm as well?

3. Do you experience such symptoms in the lower liimbs as well?

4. ANy tingling and numbness in the arms?

5. DO you experience any cramping or muscle spasm?

6. How long does the pain last??It gets better itself, if yes in how much time?

7. Do you experience any difficulty in forming grips??

Well considering the age and the sort any of symptoms you are having, it is quite essential for us to rule out a neurological cause for it. Since it is happening in both the arms at the same time, it may be due to a problem in the neck or the Brain( Central Nervous system). Brain does look less likely as it has been on and off. But yes, we need to investigate both of the initially. If it is normal, we can then think of any muscle inflammation.

Do let me know these queries. Would try to guide you in the right direction

no neck pain. Forearms hurt also. Don't have same sensation in legs. When this happens, my legs feel weak afterwards. No tingling or numbness. No cramping or muscle spasms. The last episode is the only one that hurt. Lasted longer than usual. My arms are still sore from and weak from the last one. Normally about 10 to 15 seconds. Last one lasted a minute or two. My grip seams to be ok. Last episode was the 21st of March. The soreness seams to be in my muscles all the way to wrist.

Detailed Answer:
Good evening

Sorry for the late reply. Was hung up in hospital duties

Well the sort of symptoms you are describing are intermittent ones and a bit difficult to localise the exact site it is originating from, probably that is why your GP didnt investigate further.

But you are suffering from it and we need to look into the exact origin of such kind of pain. I would advise you to get the tests for muscles first( CPK, LDH, SGOT, SGPT) to look for any inflammation in it. Since the pain is radiating all the way to the arm, forearm and wrist it can be a part of the nerve compression originating from the neck region. An X Ray of the cervical region at your age is a must. Also NCV Studies i would recommend, but that has to be done by a Neurologist if after examination they find something uncertain.

You can ask your GP to schedule an appointment with a Neurologist at this stage. Lot of conditions do have waxing and waning symptoms and one needs to evaluate it further. Examination does give us a better clue on what exactly the source of origin of pain is

Hope the information was useful
