What Causes Pain On Left Side Of Neck Radiating To Chest?

default
Posted on Tue, 3 Feb 2015
Question: I am having pain on my left side. It's not exactly in my chest, but more in my left breast. I'm having a little shortness of breath, but I think it may be anxiety, as I've been having panic attacks lately. Should I be concerned?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query very carefully and understood your concerns.

Your pain is atypical for cardiac problems and is more likely to be related with stress and musculoskeletal disorders. As such you shouldn't worry about that.

However if you were my patient i would recommend to do the following exams:
- ECG
- Chest x Ray
- Abdominal ultrasound
- Breast ultrasound
- Cardiac Echo
- Stress test
This will help to find out the exact diagnosis. If everything is normal than it's anxiety related.

Wish you health!
