Brief Answer:
Repetitive stress injury RSI

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for your query and a highlighted photograph.

To start with I would like to know:
* Since when are you getting this problem?
* Are you left handed?
* Any treatment taken? results?

This is a repetitive stress injury. The management of such a pains is tricky, needs multidisciplinary approach, patience and practice.

We/ you have to find the reason for getting such type of pain and spasm. The first step is to avoid or stop altogether or improvise on these activities / posture/ causative agents.

Put the left upper limb in a sling by the neck to uplift and support the the elbow part, so that the weight of the upper limb which puts the strain on this particular part is reduced to most minimum level.

Local rubrafacient liniments which cause warmth and increased blood supply and relief of pain to break the vicious cycle of > pain> spam> pain > spam. I hope you are getting my point.
Addition of the anti-inflammatory tablets which have a good pain-killer property and which suit you helps a lot and to be taken with PPI to avoid acidity related problems.

Very good sound sleep, stress-free lifestyle helps a lot.
Please remember , this type of pain takes a long time to settle and can recur the moment the instigating / trigger factors start to play.

If necessary MRI of the cervical spine and the muscles can help to rule out the disc or local problems related to the muscles and nerves.
