What Causes Pain In The Left Side Of The Abdomen?

Question: I have a burning sensation on mt left side just above my waist. It is not constant but is sensitive to touch. Also eases when I pass gas or have a bowel movement. Also the skin in the are seems to be numb. This has been going on for at least two weeks.

You should get Colonoscopy.

Hi
Pain in the left side of the abdomen which relieves after passing gas could be due to colonic problem.
Colonoscopy will visualise the entire large bowel and diagnose any lesion.
Till then, I prescribe Pre and Probiotic capsule twice daily after food.You continue Prilosec.
