Brief Answer:
Probably a trapped nerve. Weight loss would be helpful!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this pain the you have reported. From the information, I have reasons to suspect that a trapped nerve is the problem. s you adopt a specific posture during sleep, the pressure increases and causes the nerve to get stimulated and this manifest as pain. Waking up and lying straight helps relief the pressure and the pains disappear. Weight loss would be the best solution to this. Unfortunately, this can only happen in the long run. For now, avoid all positions that make the pain to come on or get worse while you work on cutting down your weight.

Reducing your weight would also help with the diabetes management. Eat less calories, fatty meals and exercise often. Also, cut back on alcohol consumption, avoid smoking, eat much vegetables and fruits. These would be very helpful.

I hope these tips help both now and in the long term. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
