What Causes Pain In Hip Joint?

default
Posted on Sat, 25 Oct 2014
Question: My right hip joint has severe pain after resting or sitting. As I walk or exercise the pain and range of motion decreases. I have full range of motion and movement, the pain is only when I initially put weight on it. I have only had this pain for a two weeks, but becomes worse every day

Brief Answer:
Inflammatory pathology may be the cause

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. The pattern of pain is suggestive of inflammatory pathology like arthritis of hip. To help you better I would like to know -
1. Do you smoke or take alcohol?
2. Your height, body weight and is there pain in other joints?
Meanwhile my suggestions are-Hot water fomentation; rest along with Ibuprofen will help.
Please revert back with your reply.
Take care
