Question: My Baby is one month old. She is crying a lot when she is passing Urine. We contacted local pediatrician, he said it is normal and gave "distaclor drops" for 5 days. We used for 6 days and felt it worked, baby slowly stopped crying. We stopped drops from last 3 days, now baby is crying a lot again. Could you please advice what we need to do now.

Brief Answer: Relax. Detailed Answer: Hi thanks for you query. I understand your concern. It is normal for babies to cry before and during micturation. In case she is active and accepting feeds normally nothing to worry. Crying could be due to colic as well which is seen in most of babies and starts by 3weeks of age and settles by 2 to 3 months of age. In case she is irritable and refusing feeds I suggest you to go for routine urine examination and urine culture to rule out any infection. Give breastfeeding. After every 2 hours. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can help further. Wishing your baby good health. God bless.
