Brief Answer:
Please provide more details, reports

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
The symptoms of lower limb involvement at this age is commonly due to degenerative disc.
The involvement of thigh region suggest pathology at L2-3 level. Other possibility may be lumbosacral plexopathy.
Myopathy is usually symmetrical and involves proximally with first noticed difficulty in getting up from squatting position.
In suspected myopathy, metabolic profile should be done to search for correctable causes.
Investigation like CPK-MM, vitamin D, calcium, phosphate, Thyroid profile, renal and liver function test with blood sugar is necessary.
Any family history?
Have you got any neuroimaging of spine?
Are you suffering from any other medical illness?
What medication are you taking?
You can upload all previous prescription or reports for analysis and advice.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Thank you Doctor! To be brief as you are not familiar with my condition? By the medical profession , I have been found to have good blood work and the spine is a 50 year old presitation according to five Nuro Doc,s. I come from a family of 15 siblings which none others have or had this condition! One Nuro told me "We can do many things but we cannot rewire you". When I excercise the thigh ! The ares becomes very painful with a burning sensation. I use a musical vibrator and it calms it down. One Doc suggested Valium and oaxycoten and I said I donot take any medication like those offered . All my organs a normal and have a sound mind. It feels like the sciatic nerve but the Doc's claim it is not but it certainly feels like it. As you can see I am reaching out for any possibilities from the medical profession? Thank you for your expertise , XXXXXXX F XXXXXXX age 77!

Brief Answer:
Take treatment as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Sciatic nerve involvement will be at spine or around hip region.
If Mri is showing no abnormalities or compression then possibility of sciatic involvement is less likely.
Any complaint related to hip joint?
Pain modulator drugs like pregabalin or amitryptiline may help.
Nutrional supplementation if vitamin D deficiency or calcium deficiency is found.
Get physiotherapy advices by a trained physiotherapist.
Upload any previous reports, Mri or prescription.
Wishing you good health.
